What I left out last time

Due only to time (pay as you go) constraints compounded by Dave hovering over me as I typed .... grrrr!

Seems since we left the UK things with Dave´s dad, Tom, are not going well.  On the 31st he was admitted into a care facility ... some $1000 a week.  Good we thought, on the 1st it seems that overnight he fell and broke his hip.  Was sitting on the floor for hours before they found him.  Seems the center decided to take him off his meds, failed to take note of the night wandering they were told about, no rails on the bed and it would seem no regular night checks.  Not good.  Tom was scheduled for surgery yesterday but supposedly he has a chest infection so it was delayed. 

It not good, but I think this may be the death of him - one thing after another.  In his condition I don´t see how he´ll walk again after the surgery.  He´s still of the meds for the dementia but is on pain killers.  A big smoozle that´s for sure.

On top of that, it´s been snowing again in the UK and it´s pretty bad where his parents live.  No walks shovelled, no ice melts (or the like), his brother is stuck at home as he live up a hill and his other brother is leaving town today to drive back to Corfu.  Supposedly it was too icy and Martin couldn´t shovel ´cause the shovel sucked !!!  Well it´s the same shovel Dave had to use and he managed the common walkway as well as Margaret´s. 

Oh and also it seems Margaret fell in the kitchen the other day and has hurt leg.  Time´s running out ... got to go and cut this short.
