This is for Shana

Seems like Shana's keeping track of when I'm blogging and it's been 5 weeks.  I didn't know there were blog cops out there!!!  


The periods of inactivity are to be expected in my point of view as I originally started this blog for travel purposes.  Blog when I travel for friends and family to keep track of me when I'm out and about but when I'm home and in the day to day grind ... who really cares?  I guess Shana does, and hopefully some of the other readers do too.


So in keeping with the traveling theme PLUS meeting Shana's burning desires, it's not enough we yak regularly, here's an update -


The Easter Long weekend is upon us and for me I get Friday and Monday off.  Not that I would be working on Monday anyways as I've managed to arrange my work schedule to a four day week (Tues-Fri) with a combination of compressed days off, stat holidays, and a few vacation hours.  Tomorrow morning we are heading out on a road trip.  It's a surprise for Dave.  I haven't told him where we are going, which is Ainsworth Hot Springs in BC.  They're in the Kootenay's north of Nelson.  These hot springs include natural caves.  They are supposed to be one of the best.  Seems Halcyon (Revelstoke area) is the other one vying for "the best" spot.  We're staying at the hotel there and our room includes unlimited access to the pools.  We're both looking forward to some good R&R.  Hopefully I'll be able to get us out the door before 9am and the weather won't slow us down too much.  We have to take an inland ferry across Kootenay Lake which is still on a winter schedule.  I'm hoping for the 3:50pm crossing but am expecting to make the 5:20pm crossing.  The weather map is showing snow/rain through out much of BC so it may slow me down a bit.


When we return I'll post some pictures.  The great thing about my new camera being waterproof, we can take it into the caves and not worry about it.


Hopefully the Easter Bunny will find me in Ainsworth.  I'm really craving a solid milk chocolate bunny ... I LOVE the ears!!!
