Still Hot & Humid

I'm still in The Woodlands. Cathy and I spent the weekend shopping. After a lie in on Saturday and a late "brunch" at the IHOP we hit the road SE to Katy, TX - destination the Katy Mills mall. Quite the adventure in navigation. We made it safe and sound. Spent too many hours shopping but did manage to find a new pair of shoes I've been hunting for over 3 years, among a few other items. Managed to get home without incident. The toll roads are interesting ... you pay multiple times and multiple points - sometimes getting on, sometimes getting off, and sometimes as you drive along. Yesterday (sunday) was another slow morning. This time we headed north to Conroe, TX and the Outlets @ Conroe. This time an outdoor style outlet mall ... boy was it hot yesterday. Hot & cold, hot & cold ... plays havic on the hormonal hot flashes and the body regulation. Managed to find some more good deals. Good thing I brought an extra bag for the return trip!!! LOL I'm having a massage tonight. Starting to feel the driving and walking in my hips/back ... any excuse for a massage some of you would tell me. What can I say ... I'm addicted!!! Today's lunch was the first "okay" meal (vs. fabulous) we've had since we arrived. I think we're spoiled with the seafood. Today we couldn't decide what to have so we stopped at Black Eyed Peas ... had no idea what they served but we'd seen a few around. The menu is more "homestyle" southern. My pulled bbq beef sandwich and onions rings were good ... just no match for the seafood options we've been having. Can you beat 2 doz prawn cocktail for $6?!? Oh yeah .... I wasn't successful at acting assignment (promotion) I was trying for. A little disappointing but what can you do. We'll see how things roll out ... a bunch of changes are happening at work with structure of teams and the program and the division so it'll be some interesting few months. That's it for now.
