Things are looking up

Spring is in the air ... finally.  As the weather improves so does my attitude.  I just came back from a walk and the sunshine really does feel great even though it's still cool temperature wise ... much better than the minus' though!!

Easter was good.  Turkey was awesome and I didn't have to do anything.  Well almost nothing ... Dave requested a traditional English Trifle for dessert so that was my contribution to the gathering.  Easy enough to make ahead in stages.

My dad came over and cooked the dinner.  He and my brother Reid did all the preparation.  Rose, Reid's girlfriend made a yummy green bean casserole.  That left Dave and Sue, my dad's wife to clean up.  Overall an enjoyable afternoon/evening.

I'm moving more this week.  One small setback ... one of my incisions is infected.  A little yucky but got some antibiotics yesterday so hopefully in a day or so things should be looking better.

Tonight I'm meeting Kam & Fabe for dinner and some catching up.  It's been too long and we're going to gab over sushi.  Tomorrow Dave & I have dinner at James & Linda's, and Saturday we're having dinner at Sylvia & Anita's.

Saturday is my first shift back at Rona.  A shorter one at customer service so it shouldn't be too bad.  Sunday one of my ball teams is having a practice.  I'll go out and shag a few balls, see how I feel.  It's supposed to be high teens on Sunday so if nothing else I'll soak up some rays & vitamin D while hanging out.

Monday I'm back to work.  That will be interesting ... 6am wake up call ... we'll see how I fare ... I may need an afternoon nap!!!
