Screaming Day
January 14th
Another lovely day. The drive from Greymouth to Nelson was very scenic. Hit some "tourist" stops along the way. Walked NZ's longest swing bridge then took a double zip line back over the Buller Gorge.
Made it into Nelson by 5:30pm. Actually ran into traffic ... it was rush hour as we hit town. Nelson is a beautiful city on the sea ... a series of bays and inlet. The tide was out when we pulled in. Stayed in the original part of town.
Met up with Helen & Graeme. Had some more laughs. Walked about the old town, stood in the middle of NZ, had some great Thai food for dinner, then a relatively early (10pm) night as tomorrow's an EARLY start to make the ferry.
