I'm home safe & sound

I'm mostly unpacked, laundry is on the go, I've cleared the voicemail and some of the mail.
An uneventful flight, only a slight delay as we had to wait on de-icing before takeoff in Manchester.  It's sunny and mild here in Calgary.

The bad news is that I left Dave behind in the UK.  His dad really isn't doing well and after our visit yesterday we discussed it and I felt it may be best if he stays another week or so.  Looks like Tom's kidney's are not functioning at 100%.  They've had to limit his saline input as his output is very low.  He's showing swelling in the extremities, he's developed some type of rash/irritation and swelling of the prostate (related to prior prostate cancer/issue or???), on top of kidney pain.  He's very uncomfortable and not very lucid.  Unfortunately our tickets were non-refundable / non-changeable so we'll just have to book a one-way flight back and eat the cost once we figure things out over the next few days.

I've been trying to call the house to confirm my arrival but no answer.  Not sure if that's good or bad?  It's after 9pm there so I'm not sure what's up.

In any case I'm home safe and sound.  Will start to get back to a normal routine these next few days as I gear up for a return to work at Rona starting Friday night and CRA next Tuesday.
