However, it seems strange when you're in someone elses house that is normally filled with the sounds of three kids. The clan has headed off to church, leaving me to reorganize my accumulate "crap" ... I say that with love as it includes some wonderful new tupperware. I just hope when I get back to Shana's where I left my second suitcase and some other gifts to take back to Calgary that I can get everything in!!! It'll be tight that's for sure.
It's been a "quiet" week, that is in terms of activity certainly not sound but that's to be expected when you're living with a young family. Yesterday Michelle and I picked up some Starbucks, had pedicures, went to the Keg for a leisurely dinner, then stopped off at the local Zellers & small mall to finish her Xmas shopping. Very AAAAHHHHH ... that is until we walked in the door at home and as we're trying to sneak stuff up into her bedroom before the oldest comes upon us, Steve is pushing the phone at me, the middle is calling to Michelle from her room to say good night, and then the oldest comes up to complain to mom about dad kicking him of the tv ... a nice end to the night for Michelle that's for sure!!! The trials and tribulations of being a mom!
Today I'm going to make Suzy's homemade chicken strips with honey mustard sauce and a greek salad for an early dinner. Tonight is performance night for the two older kids. It's performance #1 of 2 for the annual church christmas pagent. The kids are very excited, particularly Aidan as he has a costume and gets to wear a microphone!
Well I should toodle ... nothing more to say for now .... other than I realized last night that this time next week I'll be in England ... I can't believe how time flies!
