Okay here's a rant ... I'm am soooo tired up waking during the night, between 2 & 3am, then not being able to go back to sleep. Ever since my surgery .... although more directly a result of the medical peri-menopause I'm in.
So Thursday night I was up until midnight working later, then I was wide awake at 5am. No biggie work issues flying around my head. So last night I'm bagged - I barely make it to 9:30pm and after Dave calls I turn out the lights and I'm zonked as soon as I hit the pillow. All is well and good until I wake at about 2:50am to go to the bathroom - lo and behold I toss and turn. Because I don't fall back to sleep immediately my brain now starts to work ..... argh!!!
So after tossing and turning I roll myself out of bed at 5:30am ... might as well get up and go sit on the computer when I ready (and here I am). Lucky for Dave I was up early because as I'm in the shower I think I hear the phone ringing .... is that my 6:40am wake up call an hour early??? No there's a message from Dave. Yes sweet and all he's thinking of me and wishes me a safe journey but what's he doing up and why is he calling this early? If I'd been asleep, as I should he'd be in big trouble for waking me an hour early. LOL Can't win can he. He calls back again .... he's an hour off - I'm leaving the hotel at 6:30am his time, not mine.
Here's hoping I sleep on the flight home. We're going to the hockey game tonight and it would be a shame to sleep through that - even though the tix were free. Seems my brother has H1N1, or so he says I'm not clear if he was tested or not but he's been home sick all week. So from behind the door Reid passes Dave the tickets yesterday.
Not sure I have anything else to add ... currently I'm a little dopey. Just waiting on Lois to come down in half an hour and we'll head to the airport. I'm sad to leave, the weather here has been gorgeous this week, but it will be nice to be back home and in my own bed.
