Well I arrived safe and sound Monday evening to a heavy rain. Not much change the past few days ... overcast and variations between drizzle & RAIN.
Yesterday I went with Shana for her second chemo treatment. Very routine, not exciting or anything. Luckily she's still feeling pretty good; other, than perhaps not the best dinner choice last night which left her a tad icky.
Today we drove Shana's sister to the Abbotsford hospital for a CT scan. No big deal, a rountine scan - we'll just drive so she's not on her own. Besides Shana & I are living a life of leisure currently, what else would we be doing?
Well I tell you it's a good thing we drove. Shelly had an allergic reaction to the contract dye so first they gave her a couple of Benadryl's to combact the itchy mouth and ears. An hour or so later they decide she can leave, only for her to find hives on her neck and back as she's getting undressed. Then before the nurse/docter comes back to see her voice is changing (those of you with allergies will get this). So now they put on a bed, give her an epi shot and send her down to the ER for observation. A few hours later and some more drugs they let her go. Only they discharge her before I make it back up to the ER as I won't let Shana in there, too many germs, and Shelly's off wandering to find us. Luckily she decided to return to the ER when she couldn't find us in the cafeteria. Needless to say she was just a little wobbly with all of the drugs in her system.
All is well that ends well. We pick up Shelly's vehicle from Shana's and deliver her and the vehicle home for the night.
Oh so many adventures still to come ... what trouble can we get ourselves into ???
